Webmail-Timeout

Topic 5: Webmail times out after while and it is really annoying?

 

Exchange webmail time out by default in 10-15 minutes of inactivity for security purposes. (Ex: You go to get a phone call and leave the room, it will time out if not used and someone won't be able to come alone and go through your items.)

We recommend writing up your responce in Microsoft Word beforehand if you know it will be a lengthy reply. this will save you from losing what you're typing while still ensuring that the security timeout in still in place. (It also provides the benefit of instant spell check.)

If you are on a machine you know is safe, and wish to prolong the timeout period, so may do so by changing your security options as shown in the below picture in blue to Private Computer.
