What are Continuing Education Programs?
GPCSD has partnered with Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) to offer students a variety of Continuing Education (CE) program opportunities. NWP’s CE department is proud to help students build and enhance professional and personal skills with a range of short-term and part-time learning options tailored to very specific learning needs.
Current Course Offerings through the Grande Prairie Career Academy High School Initiative Include:
Oilfield and related Industry Training Mico-Credential Courses:
Medical Field Micro-Credential Courses:
Costs
- All courses are funded by the Grande Prairie Career Academy and their sponsors, and students simply provide a “caution fee” that is 25% of the actual course tuition fee. The caution fee is fully refunded upon successful completion of the certification. Act now; grant monies will not last forever!
Continuing Education Courses help students to:
• complete high school while engaging in meaningful curriculum.
• become much more employable right out of High School.
• sample learning in unique career paths
• transition to post-secondary studies or move into the world of work.
• enhance skill sets to meet the requirements of many local companies.
