District TECH Day Feedback...

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools held its second District TECH Day on September 25, 2012. The response to this day was overwhelmingly positive with 167 individuals responding to the exit card.

• 83.2% indicated that they were satisfied with the choice of sessions,
• 82.6% indicated the sessions they attended were worthwhile,
• 88.6% indicated that it was easy to register for sessions,
• 86.8% indicated that DOODLE was an effective method of registration,
• 94.6% indicated that we should offer a District TECH Day again!

When asked “What was the best part of our September 21, 2012 District TECH Day?” you replied:

• Learning and then creating!
• Having time to work on something I really needed to learn and do.
• Having time to work on applying the skills to real teaching and learning going on with my students and colleagues.
• I appreciate having been given some time to explore technology and to learn something new.
• Collaboration, time for hands on application of what was taught.
• Learning about technology pieces or programs that I can use right away with my students.
• Getting time to try and play with what I was learning.
• The chance to work with others and seeing the expertise in our division. It was a successful day in terms of implementing the PD you were learning.
• The variety of sessions, and the time given to practice what we were learning.
• Feeling inspired and able to apply my learning right away.
• Learning something I can use in my classroom next week!
• An opportunity to learn more from our colleagues.
• I can take what I learned today and apply it immediately!  Loved it!

The success of our second  District TECH Day was in part due to the individuals who were willing to demonstrate the use of these technologies.  Thank you  to the following presenters:
