Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools
St. John Bosco - Outreach School
St. John Bosco Catholic School is in operation to
support those students who cannot attend a traditional
school or would like to upgrade core courses
before going on to a post-secondary education.
Many students are unable to meet the expectations
of a traditional school setting. This senior high program enables students who are employed, suffer from chronic illness, pregnant or parenting, or who are going through any crisis to continue their education.
Students interested in registering in St. John Bosco School must be in a minimum of Grade 10 and under 20
years of age as of September 1st of the current
school year.
Students currently attending another school must have a referral from a school administrator before registering at St. John Bosco.
Course material is delivered using modules. A teacher is available to assist students with any help they may need. Alberta Education grants credits upon completion of course. Progress Reports are sent home on a monthly basis.
The hours of operation for St. John Bosco Catholic
School are September to June, Monday through
Friday, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Mandate: St. John Bosco Catholic School believes that we are responsible for ensuring that students not able to attend a traditional school acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to become self-reliant, responsible, caring and contributing members of society.
