2017-2020

In the Trinity we see God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, three persons, one God. In the Trinity we see connection, three distinct persons so united and connected that they are one.

We are made in the image of God, we are made to connect. Jesus gave us the great Commandment, to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind, and all our strength and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves (Matthew 22: 37-39). This is all about connecting, like the Cross illustrates, we are called to connect vertically, with God, and horizontally, with others.

Not only are we made to connect and called to connect, but we desire it. We desire to be connected to something bigger than ourselves. Throughout the three years of our district theme, we hope to answer Gods call and make connections flourish. whether the connection is personal or global, to a cause, a group, a community, or the earth, we at Grande Prairie and District Catholic School’s hope to serve our Lord by living the connectedness of the Trinity in our own lives.
