Welcome to our Family

Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools serves students of all faiths & backgrounds residing in the regional communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Fairview, Spirit River, and Sexsmith. Our high quality education is available to all families, and transportation is provided in urban and rural areas! In Alberta, no one pays tuition to attend a Catholic school, regardless of your family's faith. We embrace A Christian education grounded in the Gospel Values within a Catholic context. Gospel values articulate strong ethics, morals, and values and the creation of a better community.

Staff members of Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools are a team of approximately 575+ staff who provide educational and Faith-based services to over 4850 students in 14 schools. No matter what role each staff member has, we are all part of meetring the educational needs of the children in our schools.

We are planning to open new schools in Beaverlodge (K to 9 June 2016), Royal Oaks n in Grande Prairie (K to 8 Fall 2016), and Arbour Hills subdivision in Grande Prairie (8-12 Fall 2017 or 2018). This will result in an eventual change to K to 7, K to 9, and 8-12 formats over time.

Our students excel in many areas including academics, athletics, arts, and the trades. Alberta Education has the information and we encourage you to undertake research on our schools. Also please feel free to stop by a school, take a tour, and experience excellence.
